PROPPEDFor set designers

How it works

A job in Propped, step by step.

It's laid out like a project folder, with a tab for each stage, in the order you work.

  1. 01Details & scenes

    Start a job

Give it a name and the client. Choose the shoot dates on one calendar (the first day, then the last), and the days the props are collected and returned. Add your scenes.

  2. 02Board

    Pin props as you browse

Add the Propped button to Chrome. On a prop house or shop website, click it on the prop you like, choose hire or buy, and it's on your board.

  3. 03Board

    Upload a contract

Drop in a quote or contract. Propped reads every line and puts the props on your board, ready to place in a scene. If a contract has no pictures, Propped opens each prop's page on the prop house website in your own browser, one at a time: click the right picture and it's saved.

  4. 04Board

    Arrange the board

See the job by scene, or group it by prop house, status, type, colour or price. Drag pictures into order, and leave comments for your team on any prop or scene.

  5. 05Board

    Send your holds

Propped writes one enquiry email for each prop house with the props and your dates. Open it in your own email, send it, and the props show as enquired.

  6. 06Decks

    Make the deck

Start from your template or from the board, then drag pictures onto pages and move, crop and resize freely. Your team can work on it with you at the same time. Present it full screen, or export a PDF.

  7. 07Final selection

    The client's choice

Tick the props the client chose. Propped writes the confirm and release emails for each prop house, and makes your final deck from the picks.

  8. 08Transport

    Book the van

Your van runs fill themselves in from the prop houses on the job, with their addresses and opening hours. Add any other stop, from your studio to the location, and download one van sheet for the van company, with no prices on it.

  9. 09Pack up

    Pack up

A pack-down list where every prop is accounted for, with its picture and its prop house: a clear list to print for your team, so everyone knows exactly what goes where. Return labels for each prop house too, so no more props sent back to the wrong place.

  10. 10Budget

    Budget and team

Invite your assistants and your agent. See what each prop house costs, tick what's paid, keep the invoices with the job, and download it all for billing.
